1. Estimator

AST Stone is a comprehensive construction firm which has been in business for over 23 years. We are seeking a results-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team.

Responsibilities
• Interpret project drawings, specifications, proposals and other documentation
• Produce shop drawings
• Complete a full quantity take-off of all labour, equipment and materials required to complete the project as per contract specifications to ensure accuracy of pricing
• Prepare cost proposals and final tender documents for submission to client in order to meet contract deadline submission requirements Prepare estimates for bids and RFPs
• Maintain tendering process and set up cost monitoring and reporting systems/procedures
• Attend pre-tender site meetings when necessary
• Assist in the coordination of projects and preparation of construction schedules
• Maintain files and records of work
• Perform other related duties as assigned
Skills / Abilities:
• Ability to concurrently manage multiple tenders
• Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills with attention to detail and deadlines
• Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
• Excellent documentation skills
• Ability to work in a multi-discipline team environment including vendors, consultants and clients
• Responsible attitude and leadership qualities
• Self-motivated and strong negotiator
Basic Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience in residential construction estimating
• Post-Secondary Diploma or Certificate
• Proficiency in bidding process
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, MS Office, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Experience and exposure to project management procedures
• Driver's license
Required experience:
• Estimating: 3 years
Required license or certification:
• Driver’s Licence
Required education:
• Diploma/Certificate

• Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination
• Accurate
• Experience in Metal arts, Ornaments and accessories, Decorative metal sheets
• At least 5 years experience Producing carvings from wood, stone and other materials
• Driver’s License

3. Marble Restoration Worker

AST Stone is a comprehensive construction firm which has been in business for over 23 years. We are seeking a Marble Restoration / Refinishing Technician to join our team.
Must have a positive attitude, be reliable, trustworthy and have a strong work ethic
Detail oriented and pro-active
Able to lift 40+ pounds
Ability to multi-task
Able to work independently and efficiently to complete tasks
Preferred Qualifications:
2 years of experience in the Marble -Tile industry
Floor care or related experience
Drivers License

4. Stone Fabricator

AST Stone is a comprehensive construction firm which has been in business for over 23 years. We are seeking a Stone Fabricator/Bench worker for fabricating marble, granite, and quartz to join our team.
Duties:
Cut and Polish granite, marble and quartz.
Help load and unload slabs.
